One and Three Formats

Our work takes its cue from Joseph Kosuth’s seminal work ‘One and Three Formats’ from 1965. Our intention today is to examine the blurring boundaries between code, image and language, between art-history, traditional artistic mediums and new media. To do so we have developed a generative method to address these challenging questions with new approaches. The work is comprised of a loop, which is initiated from one series of chair codes, and then proceeds as an infinite sequence of image and text projections.
